teleMedicine

Telemedicine is the use of medical information exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications to improve, maintain, or assist patient’s health status. Closely associated with telemedicine is the term “telehealth”, which is often used to encompass a broader definition of remote health care that does not always involve clinical services. Videoconferencing, transmission of still images, e-health including patient portals, remote monitoring of vital signs, continuing medical education, and nursing call centers, are all considered part of telemedicine and telehealth.

Types of telemedicine:

  1. Real time: As simple as a telephone call or as complex as a robotic surgery. It requires the presence of both the parties at the same time and a communication link between them that allows a real time interaction to take place. This is the most common type of technology used in synchronous telemedicine.

  2. Store and forward telemedicine: It involves acquiring medical data and then transforming this data to a doctor or medical specialist at a convenient time for assessment offline. Dermatology, radiology, and pathology are common specialties that are conducive to asynchronous telemedicine.

We here at MedToursHUB. keep organizing camps on various specialties through telemedicine aim of which is to:

  • Provide our old customers follow up consultations.

  • Provide our new patients with consultation from the specialists so that they can be sure of the procedure, prepare themselves for the procedure or plan a visit to India for the procedure.
